Requirements

Grade 12 qualification as recognised by SAQA. Certificate in food and beverage management will be an added advantage. One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in Food and Beverages will be an added advantage. Skills And Knowledge: Ability to multitask in high pressure environments. Communication and active listening skills. Professional client-driven attitude. Customer service. Ability to accurately remember orders. Ability to interpret and apply policy. Ability to operate computer. Financial Management. Adaptability during changes to meet the goals. Customer relations. Telephone Etiquette. Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)

Key Responsibilities

Setting up tables and ensuring that dining tables are clean and correctly arranged. Stock service station with condiments, menus, and glassware. Review daily specials and understand the menu to make recommendations to guests. Welcoming, greeting and seating guests. Accurately taking and relaying food and drink orders. Deliver orders promptly. Ensure exceptional dining experience. Checking on guests’ satisfaction. Processing payments. Clearing tables and cleaning dishes. Cleaning the dining area and restocking supplies. Cleaning dining facilities. Assist with meal preparations.
