Terms of Service

By accessing or using Groco (groco.co.za), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Groco after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Registered users will be notified by email of material changes before they take effect.

Groco is a free South African government job board. We parse and publish vacancy circulars released by the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA), make them searchable, and allow registered users to:

• Search and browse current DPSA vacancies
• Create a profile and pre-fill Z83 application forms
• Save jobs and track application status
• Receive weekly job alert emails
• Store certified documents in the Certification Vault

Groco is not affiliated with the DPSA, any government department, or any public entity. We are an independent platform that aggregates publicly available government information.

To access profile and Z83 features you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential
• Ensuring that any information you enter in your profile is accurate and up to date
• All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You may not use Groco for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, overload, or impair the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in a manner that is abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to other users or the platform.

Your use of Groco is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Profile data you enter — including your ID number, qualifications, and work history — is used solely to pre-fill the Z83 form on your behalf. It is never shared with employers, government departments, or third parties.

All vacancy information on Groco is sourced from DPSA vacancy circulars, which are public government documents. We make every reasonable effort to publish listings accurately and promptly, but we do not guarantee that listings are complete, error-free, or up to date at all times.

Closing dates, salary levels, reference numbers, and application instructions are reproduced from the official circular. Always verify critical details against the original DPSA circular before submitting your application.

Groco is not responsible for errors or omissions in the original DPSA documents, for changes made by government departments after publication, or for applications that are rejected, lost, or disqualified for any reason.

The Z83 pre-fill feature generates a partially completed Z83 form using the profile information you have provided. You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing the generated form for accuracy before submitting it
• Printing, signing, and initialling every page by hand (electronic signatures are not accepted)
• Submitting your application to the correct department before the closing date
• Ensuring your application meets all requirements listed in the circular

Groco is a convenience tool only. We are not a recruitment agency and we play no role in the hiring process.

Using Groco does not guarantee that you will be shortlisted, interviewed, or appointed to any position. Employment decisions are made exclusively by the relevant government department in accordance with applicable legislation and their own internal processes.

Groco makes no representations or warranties regarding your chances of employment, the suitability of any vacancy for you, or the accuracy of salary or benefits information.

Groco is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Groco and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, missed application deadlines, or unsuccessful job applications.

The Groco name, logo, and original platform design are the property of Groco. The vacancy content itself is sourced from public DPSA documents and remains the property of the South African government.

You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute Groco content in bulk without prior written permission.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from your use of Groco will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
