Deputy Director: Financial Administration

Requirements

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a NQF level 7 qualification in Financial Management as recognised by SAQA coupled with 3 years junior management experience in a financial management environment and a valid driver’s licence. Essential Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have knowledge of:- Policy analysis and development; Financial Management; Treasury Regulations; PFMA; Public Service Act and regulations; Presentation skills; Team development; Decision making; Problem solving; Organising and co-ordinating meetings; Policy development; Analysing; Report writing; Project Management; Financial management; Ability to perform under pressure; Ability to work independently; Good Communication skills (written and verbal) with other Government Departments, Private Sector Organisations, Staff and Management; Computer literacy in Ms Word; PowerPoint and Ms Excel.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to manage comprehensive payment administration system for the Department with the following key responsibilities:- Manage the financial control processes of the Department; Manage the payment and recording of financial obligations of the Department; Administer credit management service; Attend to financial administration queries/ enquires; Develop policies and strategies aimed at improving service delivery; Manage resources of the Sub-directorate.
