Requirements

A qualification at an NQF level 6 in Public Management/ Administration/ Labour Relations/ Labour Law/ Human Recourses Management or Industrial Relations. Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience in the relevant environment. A valid driver’s license. Job related knowledge: Experience and knowledge of the following legislation: Labour Relations Act, Employment of Educators' Act, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations and other key pieces of Employment Legislation and Policies. Job related skills: Communication (verbal and written). Strategic planning and leadership skills. Presentation and facilitation skills. Report writing skills. People management skills. Monitoring and evaluation. Negotiation and conflict resolution. Customer focus. Computer literacy. Knowledge of Education Sector will be added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Assist to provide and implement employee wellness programs in the district. Assist to overseer the implementation of occupational health and safety measures in the district. Assist to provide HIV/AIDS/ TB prevention coordination services in the district. Assist in coordinating the provision of employee counselling services.
