Senior Supply Chain Practitioner: Demand Management

Requirements

Applicants must be in possession of a National Diploma in Purchasing Management / Supply Chain Management / Public Administration (Management) / Logistics / Business Management (Administration). Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Demand Management and Acquisition Management environment. Job related knowledge: Public Finance Management Act. Treasury Regulations. Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and its associated regulations. Departmental SCM procedures and policies. Job related skills: Computer literacy. Interpersonal skills. Administrative skills. Written and verbal communication skills. Supervisory skills. Ability to work in a team. Working under pressure. A Valid divers’ license.

Key Responsibilities

Administer departmental requests: Source quotations. Compile comparative schedule. Check compliance. Implement and maintain effective systems and procedures for supplier’s registration and accreditation: Guide and assist with the registration and accreditation of suppliers databased of National Treasury. Administer budget and administrative tasks for bid committee division: Source proposal from suppliers. Manage the invitation of quotation from the database and update the database for suppliers. Draft and package the submission to the Bid Committee for proposal. Prepare comparative schedule in terms of the preferential procurement policy. Framework Act and regulations. Maintain an efficient and effective system of procurement of goods and services: Compile 5 reports. Manage the spreadsheet of the request: Compile a spreadsheet. Update and distribute spreadsheet to clients.
