Requirements

A relevant NQF level 6 qualification as recognised by SAQA in Socal Work/Industrial Psychology/ Psychology. Three (3) year experience in Employee Health and Wellness environment. The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license. Knowledge and understanding of policy implementation, monitoring, and evaluation principles. Good communication skills both (verbal and written). Problem solving and analysis. Creativity and cultural awareness. Knowledge of programme coordination and facilitation. Good initiative skills. Computer skills. Understanding of employee wellness programme design. Knowledge of principles and practices for designing and implementing workplace wellness initiatives. Understanding of health and wellness policies, including regulatory compliance e.g. OHSA, EHWP guidelines). Knowledge of Public Health and Occupational Health principles. Understanding of key health issues e.g. mental health, chronic illness, 141 substance abuse) in the workplace. Planning and organising skills. Understands and responds to employee needs, providing accessible and effective wellness services.

Key Responsibilities

Implement employee wellness programmes, policies, and strategies. Support the implementation of chronic diseases programmes. Coordinating health and wellness awareness activities. Coordinate sports and recreational programme. Execute administrative duties related to the wellness programme.
