Requirements

A Senior / National Senior Certificate (Matric) and relevant PERSAL Management/Administration courses and a valid driver’s licence. Experience: 3 years’ experience in a Recruitment and Salary Administration environment. Knowledge: Public Service Act, Public Administration Management Act, Public Service Regulations, DPSA Directive on Human Resources Management and Development for Public Service Professionalisation, relevant PERSAL functions and procedures, relevant Departmental, Provincial and National HR Policies and Procedures, relevant DPSA Directives, relevant Bargaining Chamber Resolutions, Employee, Performance and Management System (EPMDS), Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Whitepaper on Transformation of the Public Service, SMS Handbook, Guide for Members of the Executive (Ministerial Handbook). Skills: Communication, leadership and supervisory, conflict management, planning and organizing, analytical thinking, problem solving, creativity, decision making, innovation, computer, facilitation and presentation, interpersonal relations, time management, report writing, project planning, policy analysis and interpretation, self-disciplined and self-driven with the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the provision of recruitment and selection services. Supervise and coordinate HR Provisioning services. Administer the provision 139 of salary administration services. Provide inputs into policies, procedures and plans. Supervise resources of the Section.
