Requirements
Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Forensic Investigations / Law / Auditing. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Forensic Investigations. Job related knowledge: The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Professional Standards. The institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICPF) Professional Standards. Forensic Investigations methodologies and procedures. Job related skills: Writing Skills. Verbal / Communication Skills. Interviewing Skills. Analytical Skills. Problem-solving Skills. Conflict Management Skills. Interpersonal Skills. Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
Key Responsibilities
Planning of cases assigned to the Forensic Investigation Team as per the Case Management Register according to the deliverables and timelines defined on the approved Project Plans. Planning the deliverables of the cases allocated to the Forensic Investigation Team in line with the Chief Directorate’s quality standards, methodologies, policies and procedures (charter and governing procedure). Report progress to the Assistant Director on a weekly basis and to the Deputy Director on a monthly basis, or when required to do so. Execution / Fieldwork of cases assigned to the Forensic Investigation Team as per the Case Management Register according to the deliverables and timelines defined on the approved Project Plans. Execution/fieldwork of the cases allocated to the Forensic Investigation Team in line with the Chief Directorate’s quality standards, methodologies, policies and procedure (charter and governing procedure). Report progress to the Assistant Director on a weekly basis and to the Deputy Director on a monthly basis, or when required to do so. Reporting (written format) of cases assigned to the Forensic Investigation Team as per the Case Management Register according to the deliverables and timelines defined on the approved Project Plans.
