Driver/Messenger

Requirements

Grade 10 or equivalent appropriate qualification as recognised by SAQA. Minimum of 7-12 months relevant experience. A valid driver’s license Code 14 as well as a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Knowledge, Competencies and Skills: Knowledge of the procedures to operate the motor vehicle e.g. procedures to obtain trip authorities, complete the logbooks of the motor vehicle, to obtain consumables (e.g. petrol) and obtain basic services (e.g. fixing a flat tyre). Knowledge of prescripts for the correct Utilisation of the motor vehicle. Knowledge of the procedures to perform messenger functions and routine office support functions. Interpersonal skills. Driving skills. Time management skills. Customer care skills. Communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Drive light and medium motor vehicles. Facilitate maintenance on the allocated vehicle. Render a general support function. Collect and deliver documents.
