Requirements

Grade 12 plus Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Knowledge Management/ Information Science/Information Systems/ Computer Science. A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience at Middle/Senior Managerial level in the related field. A valid driver’s license. Appointment is subject to the signing of a performance agreement and financial disclosure. Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service Senior Management Leadership Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government available as an online course on https://www. thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/, prior to finalisation of an appointment Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Strategic leadership; policy development; programme management; financial and people management; governance; risk management; stakeholder management; communication.

Key Responsibilities

Manage information and records management services, including the development, implementation, monitoring and review of records and information management policies, standards and procedures. Manage information technology services, including ICT help-desk support, infrastructure and network support. Ensure the development and implementation of ICT policies, standards, frameworks in line with DPSA requirements. Oversee digital transformation, management of business applications, systems integration across the Department. Provide strategic oversight of the Department’s compliance with PAIA and POPIA. Ensure appropriate processes and controls for access to information, privacy and protection of personal information. Manage the provision of administrative support services and ensure effective planning, resource management, performance management and compliance within the Directorate.
