Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Economics; A minimum of 3 years management experience. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Human resource management processes. Knowledge of labour relations; Financial management; Project management and administration; Public service procedures; Applicable policies and procedures. Knowledge of economic sectors; Relationship management. Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation. Knowledge of basic research methodology. Knowledge of economic sectors. Skills in the following: Numeracy; Computer Literacy; Language skills; Project Management; Accounting Finance and Audit; Information Technology; Formal Training; Economics, financial analysis; Legal Administration; Strategic Planning; Communication; Interpersonal; Analytical; Negotiation; Planning and organising; Conceptualisation; Motivational; Financial management; People management; Presentation, facilitation, coaching and mentoring; Stakeholder management; Research skills.

Key Responsibilities

Develop operational primary sector programmes; Develop and maintain networks with stakeholders; Build and strengthen market growth and promotion of the primary sector; Identify sector specific blockages; Render project management and administration for primary sector programmes emanating from government policy; Provide Human Resource and Financial Management.
