Requirements

An NQF level 7 qualification in Accounting/Financial Management/Cost and Management Accounting or Auditing as recognized by SAQA. Post graduate qualification in the financial management field will be an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at senior managerial level. SMS Pre- Entry (Nyukela) Certificate prior to appointment. Valid driver’s license with exception of person with disability. PowerPoint and Outlook. Public Sector and its regulatory and legislative framework. Education and school management regulatory and legislative framework. The financial Public Sector management reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the management and provision of financial administration and accounting services. Oversee salary provision and expenditure management. Oversee the provision of expenditure management. Oversee the management of system control services. Oversee the preparation. analysis and submission of Departmental monthly and quarterly expenditure reports and annual Financial Statements. Evaluate the performance of the Chief Directorate on a continuing basis against pre-determined key measurable objectives and standards; manage the performance of staff and ensure assessment of their performance; Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team. ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
