Requirements

An NQF level 7 qualification as recognized by SAQA.A relevant postgraduate qualification in education/management will be an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at senior managerial level. SMS Pre-Entry (Nyukela) Certificate upon appointment. Valid driver’s license with exception of person with disability. Core and Process Competencies: Strategic Capability and Leadership. People Management and Empowerment. Programme and Project Management. Financial Management. Change Management. Knowledge Management. Service Delivery Innovation. Problem Solving and Analysis. Client Orientation and Customer Focus. Communication. Functional computer literacy – MS Word. Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook. Public Sector and its regulatory and legislative framework. Education and school management regulatory and legislative framework. The Public Sector management reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the management and supervision of district. circuit and school performance. Oversee district planning and ensure adequate resourcing districts. Co-ordinate the setting of clear goals and performance expectations for the district. ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee district cooperative functionality and strategic capability and efficient utilization of resources.
