Assistant Director: Transversal Support

Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification). A minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Competencies: Knowledge of and working experience with: legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions; use information systems that support the management of knowledge and information relating to the line function; manage projects; implement operational management practices; manage procurement and tendering processes; develop, implement, monitor and review policies and operational processes; manage public service procedures, processes and systems; manage public finance, human resources and related administrative processes; manage financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions and other applicable financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; perform general office administration and database management; manage performance management processes; Skills: perform numeracy and literacy functions; use computer systems effectively; communicate effectively in the required language; manage projects; perform accounting, finance and audit functions; Other: work effectively under pressure; work irregular hours when required; meet tight deadlines.
