Assistant Director: Transport And Travel Management

Requirements

A 3-Year National Diploma or Degree in Public Management or Administration or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6/7 as recognised by SAQA. 3-5 years’ 13 experience in a relevant field. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Excel and Outlook etc.). Generic Competencies: Planning and Organising, Coordination, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Project Management, People Management & Empowerment, Client Orientation & Customer Focus, Team Leadership, Diversity Management, Communication (Verbal & Written). Technical Competencies: In- depth knowledge of: Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Transport and Fleet Management. Contract Management. National Travel Policy Framework.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the following duties: Coordinate provision of travel services through an online booking tool. Coordinate provision of fleet and transport services. Monitor implementation of transport and travel contracts. Monitor fleet tracking systems and emergency responses.
