Assistant Director: Telecommunications

Requirements

NQF level 6 or 7 qualification in Public Management/Administration, Information Science, Logistics or related telecommunications qualification as recognised by SAQA. Five (5) years’ experience of which three (3) years must be at Lower Management post /Supervisory level 7/8 within the Telecommunications field. Valid driver’s license with exception of person with disability Competencies. Knowledge and Skills: People Management. Planning. Organizing. Time Management. Policy Analysis. Financial. Change. Knowledge and Project Management. Public Service Legislations. Telecommunications Services and Mobile Contracts such as RT15. Negotiation. Communication. Writing. Leadership. Strategic Planning. Diversity Management. Computer Literacy. Facilitation and Coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Provide telecommunications services. Manage contracts for mobile devices, SIM cards, Wi-Fi routers and landlines, support mobile device issues. Maintain the telecommunications account. Coordinate service-provider meetings and install work-related software on departmental mobile devices.
