Assistant Director: Financial Accounting

Requirements

An NQF level 07 Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Financial Accounting and a valid driver’s licence. Experience: 3 years’ supervisory experience in a finance environment. Knowledge: RSA Constitution, Public Service Act, Public Management Administration Act, Public Service Regulations, Directive on Human Resources Management and Development for Public Service Professionalisation, PFMA, EPMDS, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Treasury Regulations, National and Provincial Treasury Instruction Notes, Division of Revenue Act, relevant Departmental, Provincial and National policies and procedures. PERSAL, BAS and LOGIS systems. Skills: Financial management, people management, time management, decision making, planning and organising, conflict management, communication skills, leadership, innovation and creativity, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal relations, computer literacy, project management 133 and change management, self-disciplined and self-driven with the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Manage LOGIS payments. Manage sundry payments. Manage subsistence and travel claims. Manage the payment voucher control and compliance with financial accounting policies and procedures. Manage resources of the component.
