Requirements

Matric or NCV Level 4 with a recognized M+3 years Degree or National Diploma in Education or related qualification; 5 years’ experience in Education / Teaching and Learning Environment or any relevant field, in which 3 years must be supervisory experience in Education / Teaching and Learning Environment or relevant field; Knowledge of White Paper on PSET Act; Knowledge of the Public TVET sector and its regulatory and legislative framework; Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector; Knowledge and understanding of COLTECH system, TVETMIS, and ITS; Knowledge of practice notes, national, provincial policy frameworks relevant to Education, Training and Development; Knowledge of Skills Development Act, Public Service Regulations and Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act; Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Key Responsibilities

Manage the provision of examination services; Manage training of invigilators; Markers and Data Capturers; Manage the establishment of the function of irregularity committee; Manage the control of issuing of the certificates; Manage proper administration of the examination unit; Manage all human, financial and other resources in the unit.

The new Z83 Application form must be accompanied by a detailed recently updated comprehensive CV with three (3) contactable references (provide their contact number and email addresses), Driver’s license, ID copies and Qualifications copies, such copies need not to be certified when applying for a post. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to submit the required certified documents. Incomplete applications or applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Applicants with foreign qualifications would be required to submit an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification (SAQA) on or before the day of the interview.
