Grade 12 plus a recognised National Diploma (NQF 6) in Social Sciences, Community Development, Communication, Public Management or a related field required. A minimum of 3 years of related experience required, especially in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, community development, communications and administration is necessary. Skills And Competencies: Excellent leadership, written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination functions and for engaging and liaising with stakeholders at all levels. Serves as a critical link between clients and stakeholders, ensuring the effective communication of important information to programmes and other key stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and proficiency in relevant software are required to support data management, report preparation, minute-taking, coordination of electronic and physical meetings, and the management of filing systems. Strategic planning skills are 241 necessary for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the Unit's performance, as well as for supporting the management of the Department's budget and financial matters. Demonstrates strong reporting and analytical capabilities through monitoring activities, resolving issues, providing updates to the Legislature and the Office of the Premier, and conducting data collection and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the coordination and consolidation of departmental reports for submission to oversight bodies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and prescribed deadlines for the submission of reports and meeting minutes. Coordinate the provision of secretariat services to departmental management structures, maintain the scheduling and coordination of management meetings, and represent the Unit, where required, during meeting proceedings. Review, implement, and monitor the Unit's operational plan and compile reports on project site visits and outreach programmes attended for submission to the Deputy Director and other executives. Facilitate the coordination of Taking Legislature to the People (TLP) initiatives, oversight visits, and provincial and national outreach programmes, while monitoring the achievement of the Unit's objectives and targets. Assist with budget planning, expenditure monitoring, and financial administration, and perform office administration functions and other duties assigned by the Deputy Director to support the effective functioning of the Unit.
