Administrative Officer: Community Policing Policy

Requirements

A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Social Sciences / Public Administration / Research / Criminology / Policing or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority SAQA). A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the same or related field. Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities). Core And Process Competencies: Strategic Capability and Leadership, Programme and Project Management, Change Management, Financial Management, Knowledge Management, Problem Solving and Analysis, Client Orientation and Customer Focus, Communication. Knowledge And Skills: Knowledge of policies that inform Crime Prevention: NCPS and PCPS, Knowledge of relevant legislations, Knowledge on the operation of SAPS, Knowledge of Policies related to Community Safety partnerships, Record keeping skills, Problem solving skills, Communication skills, Report writing skills, Presentation skills, Conflict Management skills, Policy analysing skills, Pro-activeness, Honesty, Team player, Responsiveness, Willing to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate data collection for the development of policing policies. Provide administrative support. Assess the implementation of policing policy. Maintain Stakeholder relations.
